New restaurant and bar, Dia + Noche has opened on Bold Street in the former Miyagi .
The new venue is being opened by the same team behind the Japanese restaurant which closed in September .
Before closing, the team issued a statement saying: “We have been working on the new concept for just under 12 months and after looking across the city …
“We come to the conclusion that the best place for it is right here on Bold Street.”
Now owner Alex Hannah, from Allerton, can reveal that the concept is Dia + Noche which translates from Spanish to ‘day and night’.
The venue will be open all day from breakfast in the morning to late night DJ sessions in the evening.
The menu will be split into four different sections: breakfast, brunch, lunch and tapas in the evening.
Alex said: “We are offering a menu with healthy dishes at its core but with a few naughty treats too.
“We are not trying to become a gym bunny place with bland food but we use healthy ingredients that are locally sourced and seasonal.”
As the menu is seasonal it will change every six months, however at the moment dishes include wild mushroom rarebit, mushroom and truffle linguine, minted lamb and feta burger, pistachio and prune chicken ballotine, cheeseboards and iberican platter.
Upstairs, the space is doubling as a creative space for artists, musicians and more to use.
Alex said: “We really want to showcase local talent and give them a platform to sell and show their work.
“So upstairs we are allowing local creative people use the space as they wish.”
Currently, Liverpool photographer Kooky is occupying the space with her ‘Motel Diaries’ exhibition.
Dia + Noche provides her and others a space to sell their work without any extortionate commission fees and gives them exposure to get their work seen.
Whether it be for hot desking, meetings, large party bookings or functions, Dia + Noche is available.
